When can I order my next car?
Motability customers can order their next vehicle three months before the end of their lease, but it’s probably a good idea to be thinking about your new vehicle a few months before that.
Am I allowed to add a personalised number plate to my Motability car?
This is entirely down the discretion of Motability. It may be possible to add a personalised number plate to your Motability car, but customers would need to contact Motability first and it is likely that there would be a admin fee involved.
Who is affected by Personal Independence Payment?
Personal Independence Payment (PIP) will replace the Disability Living Allowance (DLA) for people with disabilities aged between 16-64. Customers can use the PIP checker at www.gov.uk/pip-checker to see if PIP affects them.
Am I eligible for a Motability car?
In order to be eligible to join the scheme you must receive one of the following disability benefits and have at least 12 months’ award length remaining:
- Higher Rate Mobility Component of Disability Living Allowance.
- Enhanced Rate Mobility Component of Personal Independence Payment
- War Pensioner's Mobility Supplement
- Armed Forces Independence Payment

Can I cancel my lease agreement?
Motability customers can only cancel their lease agreement under extenuating circumstances. There is likely to be a £250 charge and will not be eligible for the ‘Good Condition Bonus’. To cancel please call the Motability customer services department.
How often does my car need servicing?
All vehicles should be serviced as recommended by the manufacturer. This varies which each car and is generally dependant on mileage and/or time passed. Please contact our aftersales department on 01482 409929 for more information.
What options do I have at the end of my car lease agreement?
Customers can lease another car, return the car, or apply to keep their current car for longer.
