Fiat announce the name of its 2016 hatchback
Fiat’s answer to the highly competitive C segment market - which includes the likes of the Ford Focus, Vauxhall Astra, and Volkswagen Golf - will be known as the Fiat Tipo.
The Tipo is based on Turkey’s Fiat Aegea, a functional and compact three-box saloon.
It's been widely reported that the new hatchback version from Fiat will be available in the UK next September, with prices likely to be in the region of £16,000.
Customers will have the option of four different engines: two diesel and two petrol units, with power outputs ranging from 95bhp to 120bhp.
All the latest technologies that you would expect to see in a new Fiat will be there as well, including: touch screen Uconnect™ media system, hands-free bluetooth calling and audio streaming, rear parking, and satellite navigation.
While the Aegea saloon is out now, the coming hatchback edition is set to appear at the Geneva Motor Show next spring, ahead of the anticipated September release.
When more information on the Fiat Tipo is available, Jordans of Hull, East Yorkshire will communicate it accordingly.
